Breaktime at Boquillas

Breaktime at Boquillas

from $283.00

Break time… a brief pause in a busy day.
At this make-shift medical clinic in the desert of Mexico, medical professionals and other volunteers work from daybreak to sunset. No telephone. No electricity. No flush toilets. No running water. Nighttime means sleeping bags on the dirt with wild animals howling nearby…

Locals have walked for miles for this semi-annual visit.
The medical missionaries push themselves hard to see as many as possible; they must be made to stop for break times to avoid dehydration.

“Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
‘for I was hungry and you gave Me food;
I was thirsty and you gave Me drink;
I was a stranger and you took Me in;
I was naked and you clothed Me;
I was in prison and you came to Me.’…
“Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.” Matthew 25:34-36, 40
